ANDRAS GAL, MD
Very clear standpoint and explanation. Helped me to approach this problem, so far I had been really uncomfortable discussing these matters with patients and family (I do orthopaedics, but elderly hip fracture patients often deteriorate).
JANET DONNELLY
Good course. I find that too many caregivers think that DNR/I means do not care. Fluids and basic antibiotics are often withdrawn too soon. DNR does not mean do not care.
SCOTT NORDSCHOW (Nursing Student)
Very informative and definitely will help me in discussing this with my patients.
YVONNE BOWERS, PA-C
MICHELLE EVA MORHOLT (NP Student)
Excellent and thorough. Thank you for emphasis on cultural considerations, patient values, and encouraging Learners to explore ways to provide patients and loved ones specifics regarding the interventions and the side effects. I usually approach the conversation from a perceived values perspective but I will be incorporating the "4 pillars" concept next time. Thank you!
SHAYNE PENDRICK, EMT
Broke it down to pretty cut and dry terms, not too much dictionary terminology.
