My mother taught me that it's best to first compliment someone before offering criticism. So, here's my genuine praise for this course: 1. As always, Dr. Seheult's explanation of the material is concise, & easy to understand. 2. I especially liked how he categorized the agents used in the managment of HyperK+ My critique: Unless my understanding is flawed (which it very well could be), the content of this course seems to be outdated. Teaching that normal saline is a viable treatment option is not only incorrect, but potentially dangerous. The literature seems to point towards the use of Lactated ringers instead. 1. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK500033/ 2. https://emcrit.org/pulmcrit/management-of-severe-hyperkalemia-in-the-post-kayexalate-era/
