PEET DE VILLIERS, Pharmacist
Excellent overview. Clearly explained. Can you please consider adding a section on how to approach, and treat, patients that have chronic insomnia and have been on sleep medication (e.g. benzodiazepines, non-benzodiazepines) long-term. They often do not sleep well due to tolerance that developed to these medications, but it is very difficult to discontinue the sleep medication due to rebound insomnia which makes their situation worse. How do you deal with these patients?
