Excellent presentation about the dangers of vaping. One of my patients with stage 4 breast cancer with pulmonary and bone metastases was using CBD and THC with success in having sense of well being and satisfactory sleeping pattern. She tried vaping THC without my consent, the source was from legal outlet. She developed pleural effusion on the left side that needed an intercostal tube drainage. She stopped vaping after reports about pneumonia associated with vaping. The pleural effusion cleared and left her with parietal pleural thickening. The lungs were clear on Pet/CT scans. Are there studies about vaping lung complication among late stage cancer with lung mets? – Ruben Ong MD

Thanks. interesting summation

Very clearly explains the updates and recent articles about lung injury associated with vaping (mostly THC but also nicotine). Also adds a small clarification on the possible interest of the tobacco industry on denigrating vaping as a "safe" form of accessing nicotine.

Feel like I am way behind on what is going on with the world of vaping. Great updates. Need to see where we are out starting in 2020 to current.
