I am an Illinois ICU RN: when this "regional" lung injury first appeared, I thought a dealer was purposefully poisoning product. I spoke to a pulmonologist and a coroner who were both wandering the same thing. Nothing came of that question, but why Illinois (and I think it was northern) and Wisconsin?

Thank you for the information, we have had one death at our hospital. I asked all of my ER patients If they vape now. I have noted how diminished the breath sounds are with the sob vaping group. In PFT lab we see advanced obstructive changes after a few years of vaping. The future is bright for respiratory specialist (RT’s)
